LILIN's IP Bootcamp has been designed to train installers and increase IP video awareness in the market |
“Fundamentals and IP systems covered, real demonstrations on working products, genuine information on all IP hardware, with no hard sell,” just one of the ways IP Bootcamp was described by participating installers last week. Further comments included, "a very good insight into IP workings and operations, easy going with a touch of humour", "a well presented hands-on session" and "excellent, most useful, ten out of ten". The testimonials provided by attendees confirmed the value of the free training session; guests left having developed their knowledge, increased their confidence, and felt ready to enter the demystified world of IP. It is therefore no surprise that IP Bootcamp has become a hot topic for discussion within the industry.
Having been greeted with hot bacon rolls and drinks, attendees filed into a room specifically set up to accommodate the practical session. Multiple workstations equipped with network cables, RJ-45 crimp tools, testers, HD IP cameras, NVR’s, switches and injectors were set, each enabling hands on access for all attendees throughout. Ian Leroux, LILIN’s product trainer kicked off with an introduction addressing the difference between analogue and IP before going on to explain the fundamentals and architecture of IP.
IP Bootcamp was designed after LILIN made a decision to help train security installers and increase the awareness of IP video in the market. With an aim of training 1000 installers within the next year, LILIN are committed to helping installers understand the simplicity of IP, removing the fear and improving the adoption of IP throughout the UK.
