UVeye’s global team is rapidly expanding and so is the innovative product line. Recently, it officially announced the launch of the Atlas Lite which is designed to complement the Helios and Artemis in dealerships and more commonly-sized service bays.
However, the Atlas Lite will make its official public debut at the National Auto Dealer Association conference in Las Vegas Nevada.
360-degree imaging capabilities
When it came to unveiling the Atlas Lite, there seemed to be no better place than NADA 2022. With 360-degree imaging capabilities and the ability to identify dents, scratches, and other surface damage, the Atlas Lite makes the perfect companion to the Helios underbody scanner and the Artemis tire scanner.
Even when a dealership installs all three devices, the footprint of the combined setup fits perfectly within the service lane. And that was the main goal of the Atlas Lite: to be dealership-friendly.
Vehicle scanning and identifying

Not only does the Atlas Lite scan the exterior of a vehicle, and identify and highlight surface damage and paint blemishes, but it also uses multiple strategically placed cameras to take photographs of the vehicle for online resale.
As part of a preliminary field test in the second half of 2021, UVeye installed an Atlas Lite at Volvo Cars Princeton dealership in New Jersey. How did the Atlas Lite perform in the real world? Well, the General Sales Manager Michael Battaglia describes it as a “success” for the sales and service department.
Expanding customer reach
“When customers drive it through our service lane, drop off their car and take their loaner car, the sales department doesn’t even have a chance to talk to them.” Battaglia continued, “but we can see their car is scanned and identify the year, make, and model. Based on the vehicle report, we’ll see if they’re interested in trading up. And we’ve had quite a bit of success doing that as well.”
Battaglia also noted his dealership was able to expand its reach as well. When customers call from hundreds of miles away, they can see detailed condition reports like never before. “It helps us be more competitive as a small dealership.”
