ASSA ABLOY announced that it has released Declare documentation for its Adams Rite MS1850S Series MS (maximum security) deadbolts, HES 1006 and 9600 Series electric strikes, the Securitron M32 and M62 Magnalocks, and Securitron’s AQD6 Series of Switching Power Supplies.

ASSA ABLOY is the only company to release Declare labels in the power supply, maglock, electric strike and deadbolt categories, and has the second most Declare labels of any manufacturer in the building industry.

Declare labels

Declare is a ‘nutrition label’ for products, a clear and informative method to disclose ingredients. Declare is transforming the building materials marketplace through transparency and open communication. For manufacturers, Declare offers an expanded point-of-entry into the world’s most ground-breaking restorative projects and a new platform to connect with consumers.

“These ‘nutrition labels’ enable us to make better decisions about the materials that go into our products,” said Scott Baker, President, ASSA ABLOY EMS & OEM Group. “Plus, LEED v4 just launched last week, and our work in transparency heavily contributes to it.”

Environmental Product Declaration

Securitron also announced the release of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its EcoPower Power Supply, which documents the cradle-to-grave life cycle of the highly efficient power supply and how it affects the environment.

Baker continued, “This is a company-wide commitment to transparency, making everything we manufacture more sustainable. Everyone at ASSA ABLOY is striving to make our solutions better for the environment and for the people interacting with them.”
