The HES K200 Cabinet Lock is a cost effective way to bring access control to cabinets and drawers |
HES, an ASSA ABLOY Group brand, is introducing the K200 Cabinet Lock and KS200 Server Cabinet Lock at ISC West 2016, the wired counterparts to the HES K100 and KS100 with wireless Aperio technology. HES is also debuting a new ADA lever option for the K100 and K200 Cabinet Locks, which will be displayed during the show at ASSA ABLOY booth #8061.
Enhanced physical security
Ideal for healthcare applications, the HES K200 Cabinet Lock is a cost effective way to bring access control to cabinets and drawers via a convenient, single credential solution. Using Wiegand communication between the multi-technology reader and an existing access control system, the K200 enables real-time audit capabilities and door monitoring, both of which are becoming increasingly critical in hospital and pharmacy spaces.
“Hospitals around the country are facing challenges to improve patient experiences, reduce the spread of infectious diseases, comply with new guidelines and regulations, and provide enhanced physical security for electronic medical records,” said Michael Webb, Vice President of New Product Development, ASSA ABLOY EMS&OEM Group. “They can meet all of these challenges easily by deploying our cabinet lock solutions.”
Protecting data centres and municipalities
Beyond healthcare, HES has also uncovered a demand for access control at the individual cabinet level for data centres, municipalities, utilities and more. By deploying the KS200 or KS100 Server Cabinet Locks, access control can be extended to protect data centre assets from intrusion and expensive downtime. Designed for simple and fast installation, with minimal modifications on most swing-handle style server rack doors, the KS200 uses Wiegand wiring to integrate seamlessly with existing access control systems and ID badges. It supports a Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC) mechanical key override and provides robust, cost-effective access control to meet strict regulatory compliance and protect data.
