ADT Commercial - 2022 Gold Medallion Award recipient
As a 2022 Gold Medallion Award recipient in the Large Employer category with more than 500 employees, ADT Commercial has certified that more than 7% of its new hires for the 2021 calendar year were military veterans, with 75% retained as employees for 12 months. The company retained 90% of veteran hires made in 2021.
This achievement marks an incredible milestone in ADT Commercial’s continued commitment to recruit and welcome more veterans and military service members to the organisation.
ADT and ADT Commercial offer veteran integration assistance
“To be awarded Gold Medallion status is such an amazing accomplishment and a testament to the years of work our teams and leaders have put in to give our nation’s heroes a path forward and long-term career in their civilian lives,” said Zack Morris, Director, Commercial Career Programmes at ADT Commercial.
In an effort to foster an environment that would attract former service members to a civilian career in the security industry, ADT and ADT Commercial have continued to champion a number of veteran integration assistance programmes, in order to ensure the inclusion and success of military employees within the organisation.
Veterans Business Employee Resource Group
The organisation has also launched a 12-month Leadership Development Programme open to all employees
This includes the Veterans Business Employee Resource Group (BERG), which supports a proud community of those ADT employees currently serving in the military, veterans of all branches, and their supporters to create a culture of camaraderie and development.
The organisation has also launched a 12-month Leadership Development Programme open to all employees, where select individuals are afforded the opportunity to expand their leadership skillsets through hands-on training, mentorship and career development, with internal executives and outside consultants. Each class for the programme aims to welcome a number of current or former military service members to join the cohort.
Military service members possess valuable technical skillsets
Zack Morris said, “We’ve long recognised that military service members possess valuable technical skillsets, a strong sense of duty and a desire to serve others, making them ideal candidates to enjoy long security industry careers.”
He adds, “Not only will this recognition help ADT Commercial to deliver on our promise of service excellence in identifying more well-rounded, capable candidates, but also help us to transform the security workforce overall.”
Balanced and technically expert industry workforce
Zack Morris concludes, “This is just the first of many steps we’re taking towards creating a diverse, balanced and technically expert industry workforce, whose talents are as holistic as our own service approach. This is truly such an honour.”
