The management at HBoS wanted to create a secure workplace by limiting access to the building to authorised staff and visitors. As such an access control system and turnstiles were required. Due to the nature of the building the aesthetic fit of the turnstiles was a key issue in the product selection process.
HBoS management consulted with architects, BDP (Building Design Partnership) to help design the system and the Fastlane plus R400 MA units were specified because BDP had seen them at other sites around London and were impressed with the unit’s aesthetics and slim pedestal design. Frontline Security Solutions were brought in to install 3 lanes in the main reception area to control access to the building whilst allowing staff to gain fast and easy access to the building. The Fastlane turnstiles were supplied with integrated Swipe Card readers.
Fastlane plus is a state of the art barrier-arm optical turnstile which uses optical technology to monitor the passage of every individual entering and leaving the building, and the fast-acting barrier arms physically deter any unauthorised access. Fastlane helps prevent the most common of access control violations such as tailgating, pass-back and unauthorised entry.
