CCTV design and manufacturing company, 360 Vision Technology, has announced the release of a new and improved stainless steel Predator camera, to join the highly popular range of Predator ruggedised high-speed PTZ camera systems.
Rugged design
Featuring a compact and robust housing fabricated from anti-corrosive polished 316L stainless steel, the new Predator Steel features a number of high-performance enhancements. Supporting astonishingly clear and detailed low light imagery, Predator Steel is now supplied as standard with SONY STARVIS back-illuminated CMOS image sensor technology. STARVIS technology delivers incredible picture quality down to starlight and near infrared vs. convention pixel arrays.
Designed to withstand the toughest of operational environments, new Predator Steel is also competitively priced, with the high-performance package targeted to bring the advantages of extreme temperature (-40oC to +60oC) camera performance to the market, but at a fraction of the cost of other stainless steel PTZ camera units.
Suitable applications
Now complete with the benefit of ‘Hybrid’ analogue and HD imaging functionality as standard, 360 Vision’s future proof ‘patent pending’ Hybrid technology means that when a traditional surveillance installation moves to HD infrastructure, standard analogue 4:3 images (in HD Quality) can be replaced with Full HD 1080p widescreen images – at the flick of a switch and with no additional equipment required.
Complete with a massive 30x optical zoom with Auto Focus, Predator Steel is ideal for installation within petrochem, aviation, oil & gas, port, seafront promenade, industrial plant and marine surveillance applications. For zero light operation, Predator Steel is available with 360 Vision’s all-new Sirius IR, and IR/white light LED illuminators. Sirius LED illuminators offer up to 400m IR viewing range, or up to 250m using the combined IR & white light LED model. In addition, 360 pre-sets, 16 tours and multiple control protocols are all built-in, to complete the camera’s enviable specification.
“The new and improved stainless steel IP68 rated Predator Steel brings a compact stainless steel PTZ camera solution to installers and end-users at a very competitive price, and is ideal for rugged camera applications within a wide range of hazardous environments,” says Mark Rees, Business Development Director at 360 Vision. “In addition to great performance, Predator Steel weighs just 14Kg and is backed by 360 Vision’s 3 Year Warranty, and first-class sales and aftersales technical support.”
