Event will bring together technologies, equipment & expertise to increase safety of highways

Expotraffic 2015, the 3rd international exhibition for road traffic management and highways operation, will take place in Moscow from 27 to 29 April 2015. The venue for the event will be the VDNKh All-Russia Exhibition Centre in the centre of the city, which was also used for the 2014 show.

Technologies brought together

Bringing together the technologies, equipment and expertise needed to increase the efficiency and safety of highways; Expotraffic 2015 will build on the great success of the two previous events in this series held in Moscow. Senior decision-makers, enforcement agencies and transport specialists from 13 countries and 58 cities in Russia and the CIS attended the 2014 show, which attracted exhibitors from Russia and 13 other countries including Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, the UK and the USA also took part. Among them were some of the leading specialists in traffic management technology, products and research.

Effective marketing opportunity

With Russia investing heavily to increase the capacity and improve the safety of its highways network, Expotraffic 2015 will provide a highly effective marketing opportunity for companies operating in four key sectors:

  • Road traffic management, including toll systems and telematics
  • Road safety, including traffic lights and speed control
  • Highways operation and maintenance, including lighting and security
  • Parking systems and equipment

Comments

Voicing his approval of the last Expotraffic show in 2014, Deputy Minister of Transport for the Moscow Region Yuri Felde commented: "The exhibition has become a traditional meeting place for professionals in the field of transport, road infrastructure and traffic management. Here new contracts are signed and participants see all the new and exciting things which are happening in the industry. And most importantly – there is direct communication between professionals of the industry. Implementation of new technologies in the Russian Federation and the international community has a positive effect on the overall state of traffic management."

Olivia Griscelli, Exhibition Director at Mack Brooks Exhibitions, one of the partner companies organising Expotraffic 2015, said: “This well established event provides a great opportunity for companies at the leading edge of transport management technology to present their products and systems to the agencies responsible for developing Russia’s highways network.”

Taking place alongside Expotraffic 2015 will be the 7th Transport Congress, a high-level international conference covering aspects of transport policy and infrastructure strategy in Russia. The congress programme will include a plenary session reviewing key issues and round table discussions on the development of the country’s transport infrastructure.
