Nedap AEOS AP2001 smart power supply

Product Profile

The Nedap AP2001 smart power supply supplies power to the connected AEOS modules and peripherals, even when the mains power supply is interrupted. The internal battery charger keeps the optional batteries fully charged and checks battery status and performance continuously and accurately.

Power supply for multiple modules

The AP2001 smart power supply is capable of powering multiple AEOS modules. The maximum quantity depends on the type of module and the peripheral equipment that is connected. Several AP2001 units can also be connected in series.

UPS functionality

The AP2001 is prepared for an add-on 2-battery emergency power supply set. When the batteries are fully charged, the set provides emergency power at maximum load for approximately 5 hours. The AP2001 keeps the batteries charged and applies load at regular intervals in order to check their condition. In addition to battery power, the AP2001 can also be connected directly to the 24 VDC emergency supply.

Power consumption monitoring

If required, the AP2001 can monitor the power consumed by the connected AEpacks and peripherals and generate a signal when the preset level is exceeded. This valuable information provides advanced warning of potential malfunctions.

Clear status indication

LED indicator lights clearly show all of the status information relevant to the AP2001, including that of the batteries.

Ease of installation and management

After a simple basic training course, technicians are capable of installing the hardware and checking connection integrity. Because the status of the AP2001 can be viewed and analysed remotely, malfunctions can be resolved faster and more efficiently. The AP2001 can be mounted on a DIN rail.
