The Ikegami VDO digital video recorder offers recording from up to 16 cameras for a period of up to two months, using its proprietary SMICT technology (1400:1 video compression).  This unique compression technology facilitates high frame rates but with low bandwidth usage, enabling remote connectivity over LAN and even PSTN.  Incorporating a built-in motion detector, the VDO can operate as an automatic surveillance system, transmitting images and alert messages to a remote site.  Key features include:
  • Transmission over LAN, WAN and even standard telephone line
  • Stand-alone system or networked for up to 32 simultaneous users
  • Read/Write CD to make copies of key scenes / archiving
  • Up to 4 separate detection zones per camera
  • Alarm transmission to a mobile phone or other dial up device
