GlassProtect Fibra is a wired glass break detector. It detects glass breaking using a built-in electret microphone. The detector microphone responds only to acoustic vibrations typical of the glass breaking sound to exclude false alarms. To register a glass break, the detector must record a dull (low-frequency) impact sound and then a ringing (high-frequency) sound of falling glass fragments in 1.5 s. The digital algorithm eliminates false alarms by checking the glass break using two-factor verification. Therefore, the detector does not respond to the barking of dogs or cars passing by the secured facility. When an armed detector identifies a glass break, it instantly sends an alarm to the hub, which activates the sirens connected to the system, triggers scenarios, and notifies users and the security company. All GlassProtect Fibra alarms and events are recorded in the notification feed of the Ajax app. Users know exactly where glass break is detected. The notifications contain the name of the hub (name of the guarded object), the name of the device, the type of alarm, and the virtual room to which the detector is assigned.
