Bosch presents its Professional Series Intruder Detectors
Bosch presents its Professional Series Intruder Detectors

While other motion detectors merely react to input from one or two sensors with a simple yes or no decision, Bosch Professional Series Detectors actually integrate and process data from up to 5 different sensors to make intelligent alarm decisions. This exclusive Sensor Data Fusion technology uses a sophisticated microcontroller within the detector to constantly adjust and balance the sensitivities of each sensor, resulting in the most accurate alarm decisions ever.Long- and short-to-mid-range PIRsTwo PIR sensors (one for long-range; one for mid- and short-range) provide twice the resolution to more effectively monitor the entire coverage area.Active white light suppressionBy processing both infrared and white light, the Professional Series Detectors eliminate false alarms caused by stray lights, such as passing headlights.Dynamic temperature compensationDetects subtle temperature differences while avoiding false alarms at higher temperatures.Range adaptive doppler radar(available on PIR/microwave versions only) The microwave transceiver automatically adjusts its detection thresholds based on input from the PIR sensors. By integrating the target distance information from the PIR, false alarms from the microwave Doppler radar are significantly reduced.Tri-focus opticsThree lenses cover short-, mid- and long-range areas to eliminate gaps in coverage. Professional Series Detectors monitor 86 zones and combine to form 11 solid curtains of detection within the coverage area.Multi-point anti-mask technologyThe Professional Series ISC-PPR1-WA16 and ISC-PDL1-WA18 detectors offer anti-mask technology that is compliant with all of the latest international regulatory standards for detection of objects covering or placed in front of the detector. Using patented prism lenses and active infrared detection, the detector offers protection from all known forms of attack, including fabric, paper, metal, plastic, tape and spray.

Bosch Professional Series detectors with anti-mask technology

Bosch Professional Series detectors integrate and process data from up to 5 different sensors adjusting sensitivities for the most accurate alarm decisions ever - now featuring Multi-Point Anti-Mask with Spray Detect. The ISC-PDL1-WA18x Professional Series TriTech+ detectors with anti-mask are exceptionally suited for commercial indoor applications. MANTIS anti-mask technology makes obscuring the detector view nearly impossible for intruders. Sensor data fusion technology ensures that the detector sends alarm conditions based on precise information. TriFocus optics eliminate coverage gaps and respond efficiently to intruders. The powerful combination of unique features in the Professional Series delivers superior catch performance and virtually eliminates false alarms. The self-locking two-piece enclosure, built-in bubble level, flexible mounting height, and three optional mounting brackets simplify installation and reduce service time.Multi-point anti-mask technologyThe detectors offer anti-mask technology that is compliant with all of the latest international regulatory standards for detection of objects covering or placed in front of the detector. Most reliable alarm decisions with Sensor Data FusionOnly Bosch balances and adjusts sensitivities of up to 5 internal sensors and fuses the data to make the world's most intelligent alarm decisions.Active white light suppressionOnly Bosch eliminates false alarms due to white light such as car headlights. All ranges covered with TriFocus opticsOnly Bosch provides consistent coverage across entire coverage area, even when height is changed. No lens adjustment required.Read: New EN guidelines assure high, consistent quality standards for intrusion detectors by Carlos Alonso (Director, Bosch Intrusion Detection Systems) Watch: Bosch Professional Series intrusion product video

Bosch pushes boundaries of technology at IFSEC 2008

At IFSEC 2008, Bosch Security Systems demonstrated its total security solutions capability with its complete range of proven, reliable CCTV, intruder and communications technologies. From its Intruder range, Bosch displayed its new Professional Series detector which uses Bosch's innovative Sensor Data Fusion technology to integrate and process data from up to five different internal sensors, with the ability to adjust sensitivities for the most intelligent and accurate alarm decisions ever.  Active white light suppression eliminates false alarms from white light such as car headlights, and it also features Multi-Point Anti-Mask with Spray Detect technology, which is compliant with all of the latest international regulatory standards for detection of objects covering or placed in front of the detector.Easy Series wLSN for smaller commercial sites and residential premises will also be exhibited.  The Bosch wLSN is a revolutionary two-way 868MHz narrow band communications technology that ensures every status message or alarm signal sent by each device is received and acknowledged by the control panel, providing greater security, reliability and convenience than existing wireless technologies. The wLSN communications protocol uses encryption to secure the data being transmitted and prevent "replay" attacks.  Synchronous communications prevents two devices from communicating information simultaneously and during periods of inactivity the devices enter a "sleep mode", which results in an extended battery life.During the course of IFSEC, Bosch Security Systems held a series of seminar sessions entitled ‘Beyond the NVR - a look at the next generation of IP surveillance technologies' given by Dr Bob Banerjee, Product Marketing Manager for IP video products in North America. During the seminars, Dr. Banerjee provided his perspective on several topics, including the benefits of open systems; the most effective architectures for typical IP video surveillance installations; and important aspects of the demo, spec and quote cycle for these solutions. These interactive sessions shed light on the advantages and drawbacks of each type of technology used for digital video recording and the factors to keep in mind when installing or upgrading a surveillance solution.
