Morse Watchmans improves efficiency at United Airlines rebuild & test facility

United Airlines operate an average of 5,100 flights a day. With more than 700 mainline aircraft, maintaining the operation of the fleet is an important task. United Airlines Jet Rebuild and Test Facility in San Francisco is home to over 3,500 technical, management, and support personnel.

With a range of tools on site, some costing as much as $10,000 or $20,000, tools are locked away in toolboxes. To safeguard these assets, United Airlines turned to Morse Watchmans for a key control and management solution. Morse Watchmans’ KeyWatcher was chosen to manage the keys for the toolboxes and to enable complete control of who has access to individual keys. With the KeyWatcher cabinets, employees gain access to their designated keys via an employee swipe card and pin. Keys may be taken out for as little as 20 minutes or for up to a full eight-hour shift.

Since the instalment, only one tool has gone missing, which was found after two hours. It’s just another example of Morse Watchmans' out of the box thinking that you'll find right inside the box.
