Chubb’s super-talented superstars recognised at awards ceremony

Chubb, one of the UK’s pioneering fire safety and security solutions providers, celebrated its outstanding colleagues at its annual Superstar awards ceremony last Friday, 19th May. Colleagues from across the UK and Ireland descended on the historic 12th Century Coombe Abbey Hotel in Warwickshire to celebrate their collective and individual hard work, dedication, and achievements during 2022. Glitz and glamour of the Oscars This year's theme was the glitz and glamour of the Oscars, and colleagues certainly did their best to impress in ball gowns and tuxedos. The evening began with photos on the red carpet before guests sat down to enjoy a gala dinner.  Kicking off the awards ceremony was a warm welcome from David Dunnagan, Chubb Fire & Security Managing Director for the UK and Ireland. He was then joined on stage by other members of the UK and Ireland senior leadership team to present the Superstar awards to 38 deserving winners from across the business.  Inspiring talk Winners included members of sales, service engineering, general management, and operational roles The guest speaker, Paul Grunau, President of the APi Group International Division, delivered an inspiring talk on the enduring purpose of Building Great Leaders. His words resonated with the audience, emphasising the importance of recognising and celebrating exceptional leadership. Superstars offer a platform to achieve this goal. The winners included members of sales, service engineering, general management and operational roles, and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the organisation, such as Jim McSharry, who has been championing Chubb's apprenticeship programme for over 34 years. Chubb roadshows open up a new world of opportunity

Chubb, one of the UK’s pioneering fire safety and security solutions providers, recently hosted a series of roadshows in the UK and Ireland, to launch its new vision, mission, and values. Senior leaders visited branches in Birmingham, Blackburn, Cardiff, Fareham, Glasgow, Leeds, Luton, Manchester, Romford and Cork to reveal Chubb’s vision of becoming the number one trusted partner to protect the world’s most valued resources – people, property, and assets. Interactive sessions Over 500 colleagues attended the events, spread across three consecutive weeks. The interactive sessions began with an introduction from Managing Director, David Dunnagan before he outlined the company’s mission to go the extra mile for customers and pioneer the way in designing, delivering and supporting safe, reliable and innovative solutions. Chubb colleagues had the opportunity to engage in team-building activities that demonstrated the five new values of protecting people first, thinking steps ahead, owning what they do, bringing energy to challenges, and winning with integrity. Organisation’s future Chubb colleagues had the opportunity to engage in team-building activities Chubb’s Marketing and Communications Director, Carla Sousa, presented the company’s marketing strategy and revealed how a digital approach will help redefine brand perception so it is relatable and accessible to customers without geography boundaries. Lesley Leach, HR Director, spoke about Chubb’s Building Great Pioneers philosophy and how the company is investing in its people to develop pioneers who will make the world a safer place. She also provided an update about two recent training initiatives, Chubb’s Sales Academy and the Accelerated Development Programme, which are helping to attract new talent to the industry. Colleagues then had the opportunity to ask questions and talk to the senior leadership team about the organisation’s future. New managing director appointed for Boon Edam Netherlands

Boon Edam the Netherlands is delighted to announce the appointment of Dirk Aldenzee, an energetic and driven leader with a clear vision for the future. Dirk took the reins of Boon Edam Netherlands on the 1st August 2018 and is already in full-swing in his new role. Wealth of experience Dirk brings with him a wealth of experience - having studied economics as his higher education. He joins the company with a wealth of knowledge in many industries, including his role as Business Unit Director at CHUBB Fire & Security where he implemented a new strategy and vision across all departments of the business. And that is just the beginning. Motivated, Balanced and Entrepreneurial A keen sportsman, Dirk enjoys his free time playing tennis, golf and often goes skiing and boating A keen sportsman, Dirk enjoys his free time playing tennis, golf and often goes skiing and boating. When he is not in the outdoors, he is fully committed to sales, marketing, business development and (customer) service. Perfect foundation for success Having now had time to settle into his new role, Dirk states, “The first thing that caught my attention is the openness of everyone who is working at Boon Edam Netherlands. “People dare to share their ideas. I recognise the entrepreneurial spirit and I think it is beautiful. Also what stands out is the fact that everyone is very proud of the company and helping customers comes naturally to them. This is a perfect foundation for success. I believe we can set ourselves apart when it comes to delivering service. We have excellent knowledge in our products and services and that is highly valuable to the customer.” A Future of Service Dirk also strongly believes that Boon Edam’s heart is as a real service orientated company and feels that there is a lot to be gained – not only for the company, but for the customers as well.
