Through products such as Zwipe Access©, Zwipe ID© and Zwipe Payment©, Zwipe continues to be the industry leader in innovative biometric identification solutions
MIA’s solid customer-base and in-depth knowledge of the market is vital as Zwipe enters the Turkish market

Zwipe recently announced a distribution agreement with MIA Teknoloji, a highly innovative solution provider focused on public and private organisational needs for secure infrastructures. Specialising in a range of biometric identification technologies, including solutions for banking, payment, identification and access control, MIA has a proven track record in introducing cutting edge solutions. As a result of this agreement, MIA Teknoloji will represent all Zwipe products in the Turkish market.

Entering Turkish security market

“Turkey is of high strategic importance to us, both due to the size of the market and its high focus on security,” said Kim Kristian Humborstad, CEO of Zwipe. “With a strong portfolio in biometrics, logical and physical access control, and biometrics for payment systems, our partnership with MIA Teknoloji brings significant parallels and strengths. Their solid customer base and in-depth knowledge of the market is of vital importance as we introduce Zwipe to Turkish users. We are very excited to have them as a value adding partner to meet the growing demand for secure and convenient biometric solutions.”

Formed in 2006, MIA Teknoloji has developed a reputation for custom, tailor-made projects, amassing both a strong foothold in the local market and a considerable number of distinguished references. Among its larger projects are the installation of BEGOS (Biometric Integrated Automated Gate System) in Turkey’s largest airport (Atatürk International Airport in Istanbul), a perimeter security face recognition project at the Turkish Prime Minister’s Building, and Turkey’s largest fingerprint identification system being used by 400,000 students throughout the country.

Demonstration at IFSEC International

“The Turkish market has long been early adopters when it comes to innovative technologies with demand for greater security continuing to grow exponentially,” said Gökhan Beltekin, founder and CEO, MIA Teknoloji.  “This is clearly evident in the growth and acceptance of new technologies, particularly in the banking and payment sectors. Zwipe’s product portfolio perfectly complements the business segments within which we operate. In addition, we add value to our customers through the technical specification of requirements and for fingerprint enrolment of the Zwipe biometric cards.”

Through products such as Zwipe Access©, Zwipe ID© and Zwipe Payment©, Zwipe continues to be the industry leader in innovative biometric identification solutions.  Zwipe will be present at the upcoming IFSEC International trade show in London on 21-23 June, demonstrating its latest products.
