The highly requested E-Series is the most scalable enterprise class model offered by WavestoreUSA and the EX Series brings more sophisticated features to the popular product line.
Direct or remote connectivity
The EX-Series comprised of the E2X, E3X and E4X models features up to 24 enterprise drives housed in a heavy-duty steel rack mount chassis. The unit’s drive bays support both 3.5” and 2.5” hot swappable drive trays. The unique toolless design of the EX-Series makes for quick installation and easy maintenance. All units come with the latest Western Digital enterprise storage hard drives with an unprecedented 5-year warranty.
The E2X provides up to 72TB of storage, the E3X provides up to 96 TB of storage and the E4X provides up to 144TB of storage. All models support up to 128 cameras, recording up to 128 channels simultaneously from an IP/megapixel configuration, with a choice of H.264, MxPEG, MPEG-4 and MJPEG compression. Audio recording is also supported. The EX-Series servers are designed with optional RAID-5 or RAID-6 configurations and can support iSCSI external storage for increased reliability and storage consolidation.
The EX-Series is preloaded with the latest version of Wavestore V5 Video Management Software to allow for direct or remote connectivity offering an easy to install, cost effective surveillance solution. The EX-Series captures stores and transmits video while supporting continuous data recording during maintenances to ensure no crucial video loss occurs. The EX-Series utilises ultra-reliable Linux based software which provides a secure, robust and scalable platform for applications that easily supports updates and changes.
Suitable applications
The EX-Series also features system diagnostics and remote maintenance access, reducing the need for site visits during emergency upgrades and allowing for scheduled maintenance as time permits. The operating system and applications are also located on a separate solid state drive which runs quieter and offers more stability and reliability.
