Vanderbilt, global provider of state-of-the-art security systems, has announced the release of its SPC Connect 2.6 cloud platform.
SPC Connect is a hosted cloud-based solution designed for installers to monitor, manage, and maintain SPC panels remotely from any location. The latest features revolve around creating an ecosystem for installers and system users that will allow them to work together better.
“At Vanderbilt, we want our customers to be able to get their message to their customers as quickly and efficiently as possible,” says John O’Donnell, Product Manager at Vanderbilt.

For instance, with SPC Connect 2.6’s latest features, an installer can send targeted messages, such as promotional offers, via push notification or email. The feature is highly refined, with installers having the choice of which system users receive the message, such as panel managers. Messages can be broken down into specific groups, regions, or user levels.
“Through this release, Vanderbilt is enabling installers the option to give better systems and packages to their customers,” explains O’Donnell. “Ultimately, this hands more power to the installer to drive better business for themselves,” states O’Donnell.
This new feature set gives installers the option of having tiers and packages for their customers to purchase and choose from. Vanderbilt’s goal is to build products that will support these package options, but the ultimate choice of offers to the system users will lay with the installer.
SPC Connect 2.6 feature updates also include a verification package
Audio and live verification
SPC Connect 2.6 feature updates also include a verification package. If audio verification is enabled in the system user’s package, and an alarm occurs, that will appear on the mobile app device. System users with this package will be able to view images and listen to audio from that alarm, on their device.
“If Live verification has also been configured, the end user will also be able to see the Live image feed and be able to talk and listen live to site. So, these updates are very compelling features by nature,” concludes O’Donnell.
