Userful Corporation, a foremost provider of AV solutions for enterprise IT teams, announced its commitment to developing and expanding the open technology approach through which they’ve built the Visual Networking Platform.

Choice of software and hardware tools

We are a customer and partner focused company,” said John Marshall, Userful CEO, “And by providing an open technology platform, they are not locked-in to any particular vendor and have the choice of which software and hardware tools, add-ons and integrations work best for them.

Our API, our use of commercially available off-the-shelf hardware and our use of standard IT networking protocols give customers maximum flexibility and allow them to change applications if needed without having to change their entire AV platform.

Expanding technology partnership

To support their commitment to open technology, Userful has expanded its list of certified, commercially off-the-shelf hardware, from Dell, Lenovo, HP, and has integrated with different CMS and VMS vendors. Additionally, they have been further developing their REST API and expanding their technology partnerships with major display manufacturers.

According to Marshall, “Enterprise IT teams deploying AV applications have been clamouring for more standards-based solutions, more open technology and less proprietary hardware, less vendor lock in. Userful is delivering on that.
