UNION, a UK division of ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door opening solutions, will be showcasing its latest door hardware products at this year’s Master Locksmith Association (MLA) Expo. Taking place at Telford’s International Centre from the 6 – 8 October 2017, the MLA Expo is Europe’s largest exhibition trade show for the locksmith industry. UNION’s latest solutions, which will be exhibited on stand H2.22, will demonstrate how the company’s products continue to meet the market’s ever-changing security needs.

UNION keyPRIMETM

On show for the very first time is the new UNION keyPRIMETM patented dimple cylinder system, which has the longest patent in the market - until 2036. The new platform combines a technical key profile and proven pin-tumbler with a strong, high-quality nickel silver key that is built to last.

FastLatch

FastLatch is a new range of push fit tubular latches and privacy bolts that can be installed three times faster than a traditional latch. Available in a choice of three high quality finishes – polished chrome, polished brass and satin nickel – FastLatch’s stylish appearance makes it perfectly suited to interior doors.

RetroV

RetroV is the ideal solution for those looking to update old or tired door closers, such as the widely-used Briton 2003, 2003V and 2004 ranges. RetroV does not require drilling to install, saving time and effort whilst still maintaining the fire door certification.

DoorSense

DoorSense is a battery-operated standalone system that allows fire doors to remain open for access and automatically close during alarms. Simple to install with no electrical wiring required, DoorSense’s sophisticated acoustic technology is easily retrofitted in place of older door hold-open devices. It can also be released manually or automatically via alarm or built-in night closing timer.

Paul Johnson, Commercial Director for ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, said: “The MLA Expo is an important event in any locksmith’s calendar, and one we have attended for many years now. This year’s exhibition offers the first opportunity, for the industry to see our new UNION keyPRIMETM patented cylinder system, as well as our other latest door hardware products. We look forward to welcoming visitors to stand H2.22, providing a great opportunity to see and discuss our new products in more detail.”
