IoT-enabled integrated security solutions provider The Protector Group is about to set a course for significant growth after being acquired by the Argenbright Group.

It will join Amberstone Security under the Argenbright umbrella retaining its own identity and will complement Amberstone by providing security monitoring services and IoT-enabled integrated security solutions into the construction and critical national infrastructure sectors.

Integrated security solutions

The Protector Group was formed in 1994, and over the last 28 years presents itself as a pioneer in IoT-enabled integrated security solutions. These include Monitoring Services, Temporary Security Solutions, Key Holding & Response, and human security solutions deployed across construction and critical national infrastructure projects such as HS2, The National Grid, and Rail-based security deployments.

Argenbright will quickly further its re-established UK and Europe security presence

The Protector Group has been recognised in vast industry awards and retained a loyal but growing customer base across the UK. The Argenbright Group (‘Argenbright’) is a provider of human capital services headquartered in Atlanta, GA, USA.

With this recent development, Argenbright will quickly further its re-established UK and Europe security presence.

Major security players

Argenbright will utilise Amberstone Security and The Protector Group as its portfolio companies, both delivering services across varied industry sectors, whilst also enabling the cross-pollination of people, services, and solutions to protect and nurture both brands’ loyal, and fast-growing client base.

This acquisition, combined with Argenbright Group’s track record in security services over four decades, will transform both Amberstone and The Protector Group into major security players across the UK and Europe, and help in furthering excellent service delivery to the existing clients, while expanding both businesses into new sectors and verticals.

Argenbright was in discussions with The Protector Group right after the Amberstone acquisition, culminating in the signing of this deal on November 16, 2022.

Entrepreneurial market disruptors

This investment will provide cutting-edge solutions to realise Amberstone’s strategy"

There are a lot of parallels between the two businesses in that we are both entrepreneurial market disruptors who have always looked to change the narrative of the security industry and make the services on offer even more bespoke and customer-centric,” said Jason Trigg, Managing Director of Amberstone.

This investment will provide cutting-edge solutions to realise Amberstone’s strategy and extend our leadership in providing its clients with innovative, IoT-enabled integrated security solutions. Combined with Protector, we have an opportunity to accelerate our growth across retail, logistics, distribution, construction and critical national infrastructure sectors to become the largest privately held security services group in the UK in the short to medium term,” adds Jason Trigg.

Integrated security solutions

As a part of Argenbright’s global expansion, we had made an investment in Amberstone to support Jason and his leadership team to establish our presence in the UK market,” said Karan Ishwar, CEO of the Argenbright Group.

The Protector Group acquisition adds key capabilities in IoT-enabled integrated security solutions"

The Protector Group acquisition adds key capabilities in IoT-enabled integrated security solutions, a strong leadership team, and entry into key sectors of construction and critical national infrastructure to take our UK security business to the next level. We welcome Ken Slater, CEO, and Tracy Virgo, CFO as part of the Argenbright family and look forward to working with them to serve their customers including critical national infrastructure projects such as HS2. We are bullish about the UK security market and are looking to grow the business both organically and inorganically to propel us into a top 5 industry player in the UK,” adds Karan Ishwar.

Security services business

This transaction affirms our strategy to enhance our portfolio by expanding our security services business in the UK and underscore our unique brand of legendary service and IoT-enabled integrated security solutions to valued clients globally.”

Over the next 5 years, we plan to re-establish our leadership position in the UK where we have built successful businesses in the past,” said Frank A. Argenbright Jr., Executive Chairman of Argenbright Group. “I look forward to sharing my experience in helping Jason, Ken, Tracy, and other leaders in our business to take the group to the next level,” added Argenbright.
