Security specialist - Mark Wall has completed his quest to climb Mount Snowdon with his daughter - Maddie, raising over £600 for Anxious Minds in honour of mental health awareness week. Standing at 1,085 metres above sea level, Mark Wall, Managing Director of Wall2Wall Group and Maddie completed the epic trek to the peak of the highest mountain in England and Wales.

Anxious Minds, the chosen charity, provides vital support, counselling, and resources for individuals dealing with anxiety disorders. With a strong focus on promoting mental well-being and breaking down the stigma, it offers dedicated programmes to empower individuals and help them navigate their anxiety.

Author's quote

Mark Wall said: “The theme of this year’s mental health awareness week was anxiety. As something I have been open about across social media, I was overwhelmed with the response I received and wanted to push myself further to shine a light on charities that do incredible work to provide support and raise awareness."

He adds, “The journey up Mount Snowdon to me represented the path to resilience that we bravely navigate. It serves as a reminder that with the right support and understanding, it is possible to conquer personal challenges and literally achieve new heights! Plus it was great to spend quality time with Maddie, herself an inspiration to me as someone who is self-motivated to make a difference and always ready for a challenge.”

Mission and commitment

Mark Wall had a target to raise £500 for Anxious Mind, something he achieved in just a few days of launching his challenge, with many of his followers from Wall2Wall Group’s LinkedIn actively donating.

Maddie Wall, daughter of Mark who joined him on the climb added: “Anxious Minds is doing amazing work in providing support when it is needed most. I am so grateful to all who have donated to help raise awareness and funds for their cause. Together, we can bring about positive change and help build a world where mental health is prioritised in the same way as physical health.”

Anxious Minds is a charity committed to improving mental health and well-being. Serving people in the northeast with accessibility to everyone who requires support, their mission and commitment ensure more than 98% of people accessing their services are seen within two weeks.
