SureCam, the UK’s provider of connected dash camera technology and video monitoring solutions announces partnership with Europcar Van and Truck and Geotab to deliver comprehensive telematics plus video solution for the long-term truck and van rental market.

This groundbreaking partnership allows businesses relying on rented fleet vehicles to access critical fleet management technology that is traditionally offered to owned vehicle fleets.

Fleet safety technology

Fleets utilising video telematics technology are safer fleets. They experience fewer incidents, and when incidents do occur, they have indisputable video evidence to assist in the claims process which ultimately results in reduced out-of-pocket costs,” said Justin White, Managing Director at SureCam UK.

At SureCam, we are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to make this critical fleet safety technology more accessible and affordable to fleets of all sizes. This partnership with Europcar and Geotab helps us to extend our safety technology to businesses that rent their vehicles rather than buy them.”

Access to management technology

Businesses utilising Europcar vehicles have the option to add the SureCam X Geotab integrated solution to their rentals

Under this new partnership, businesses utilising Europcar B2B Flex and Flex+ vehicles have the option to add the SureCam X Geotab integrated solution to their rentals.

The integrated solution includes the SureCam forward-facing camera technology that provides fleet managers with instant video footage of road incidents as well as Geotab’s comprehensive telematics data allowing managers to monitor how their vehicles are being used as well as optimise planning maintenance.

The SureCam video, driver insights, and telematics data are all accessible for Europcar customers through the Geotab platform. By providing the SureCam X Geotab integrated solution as an option, Europcar is offering its B2B Flex and Flex+ customers more control into the management of their fleet. The combined technology provides a best-in-class framework for addressing unsafe driving habits, rewarding safe driving behaviours, and keeping drivers operating as efficiently and safely as possible.
