The SmartWater Group, an award-winning provider of risk management and crime deterrent solutions announces the appointment of Baba Devani as Chief Executive Officer. Devani becomes the first externally appointed CEO in The SmartWater Groups' near thirty-year history.

In addition to the traceable, forensic marking liquid for which the company first became known, its capabilities span real-time crime analysis, rapidly deployable video surveillance, and solutions for access control and intruder detection. With operations in the UK and Europe, it services hundreds of clients in sectors spanning critical infrastructure, construction, retail, leisure & hospitality, transportation, and industry.

Devani will be responsible for driving the continued strategic growth and geographical expansion

Backed by the SmartWater Group’s majority shareholder Freshstream, and a refreshed senior leadership team, Devani will be responsible for driving the continued strategic growth and geographical expansion of the business.

Previously the CEO of Survitec Marine, a global leader in critical safety equipment, he brings more than 25 years of experience in critical business services and has held leadership positions at organisations including Berendsen, British Airways, and Babcock International.
