Sharry is excited to announce its entry into the Spanish market where it delivered smart office technology to smart, the first intelligent building in Spain. Sharry is digitising access, parking management, and visitor experience at the building.
All features are conveniently accessible in a white-labeled mobile application developed by Sharry, whose software is already used by skyscrapers in NYC. As Sharry continues to expand its presence internationally in the US, UK, and CEE, Spain marks another important milestone for the brand as it strengthens its position as a global PropTech leader.
Intelligent buildings
Developed by Meridia Capital and designed by GCA Architects, the unique complex of intelligent buildings is located in Barcelona’s business and technology district, 22@. Smart offers approximately 25,000 square meters of office space in three separate buildings connected by extensive green areas.
It also features a rooftop terrace, common areas, and amenities promoting a sense of community and a completely sustainable design.
Smart technology
Utilising smart technology by Sharry, users will access the space of all three buildings by unlocking turnstiles and doors with their smartphones. Additionally, they will be a few clicks away from reserving a parking spot or a meeting room.
The smart mobile application also streamlines visitor management as occupants can quickly generate a QR code for guests thus replacing a visitor badge. Hosts can even book a parking spot for their guests, or send them a link for online booking.
First integrated building
“We are thrilled that Sharry now has a presence on the Spanish market, and it is especially significant with smart since the building is the first integrated building in Spain at this level,” said David Hartl, Head of Sales and Development at Sharry.
“We are very excited that we have been able to be a part of this innovative project." 22@ has become a place where technology meets arts and culture and boasts a wide variety of shops and restaurants.
Mobile application
With the mobile application from Sharry, users will gain access to information from these businesses in the area, including daily menus, special offers, event invitations, and more.
The building strategy for the project was set very high from the beginning. Colliers, who was a smart building consultant to Meridia Capital and worked closely with Sharry on delivering the workplace experience platform, is proud of the final result and feedback from the first tenants.
Exceptional and seamless experience
"Smart is a beautiful, premier project in Barcelona's business and technology district, set to deliver an exceptional experience to its tenants," said Renata Hartle, Technology Solutions Director at Collier's.
"Nevertheless, due to security set-up and market standards this project had very specific challenges for system integration and we knew only Sharry can deliver the expected outcome for smart. We are extremely happy with the final result and how seamless the experience is."
LEED Platinum and WELL Platinum certifications
Smart boasts LEED Platinum and WELL Platinum certifications, awarded for the complex’s sustainability and commitment to health and well-being. Smart’s design revolves around its users, with their health and well-being being fundamental for the entire development.
It’s also for this that Sharry’s solution is a perfect fit for the three-building complex as it allows tenants to conveniently use digital access badges, eliminating the need for plastic cards which are easily lost and are not environmentally friendly.
Digital access
With health and well-being on top of mind, Sharry’s platform can be used for booking shared amenities, self-service at reception to communicate any COVID policies, and more.
The implementation of digital access through Sharry’s workplace experience platform additionally allows building managers to assign and revoke access on the go which grants increased security for the entire premises. The platform also provides them with detailed data insights about utilisation of each building, increasing efficiencies and decreasing associated costs.
