The security industry is booming. Whether alarm systems, video surveillance, or smoke detectors, the demand for modern and networked security technology is growing among end consumers. This opens up new market opportunities, especially for DIY stores.

As part of a study trip lasting several days, the European DIY Retail Association (EDRA) and the Global Home Improvement Network (GHIN) are therefore inviting their member companies to visit Security Essen. The trade fair for civil security will take place from 20 to 23 September 2022 at Messe Essen. It is the ideal platform to get an overview of the latest products in intrusion and fire protection.

Security Essen 2022

The visit of the approximately 30-member delegation is planned for 22 September 2022. The participants come from all over the world: Brazil, Japan, Ireland, Bulgaria, South Africa, Australia, Peru, Lithuania, the UK, France, Albania, Belgium, and New Zealand.

The programme includes a guided tour of the exhibition halls with the presentation of new products and solutions relating to security technology for private use. "With its wide range of products, Security Essen covers an increasingly relevant assortment for the DIY sector: we are very much looking forward to the many innovations and the opportunity to make personal contact with the manufacturing companies," EDRA Secretary General John Herbert looks forward to the trip.

Security Essen is expecting a delegation of buyers from the United Nations as well as country delegations

Oliver P. Kuhrt, CEO of Messe Essen, "The visit of international decision-makers from the DIY sector underlines the position of Security Essen as an impulse- giving order and innovation platform."

"We are very pleased about the lively interest." In addition to the EDRA and GHIN representatives, Security Essen is also expecting, among others, a delegation of buyers from the United Nations as well as country delegations.
