Quanergy Solutions, Inc., a provider of 3D LiDAR solutions, announced integration of its Q-Track™ 3D LiDAR platform with Axis Communications’ VAPIX® network video API.

This integration enables seamless connectivity between Quanergy’s advanced 3D LiDAR-powered security platform and Axis’ industry-pioneer network cameras, delivering unparalleled real-time detection, tracking, and situational awareness for critical security environments.

Issuing automated notifications

Integrating Q-Track with VAPIX leverages Axis cameras for enhanced video verification and automated event responses powered by Q-Track’s accurate object detection and real-time tracking capabilities. This enables seamless control of PTZ cameras to capture video evidence and trigger event-based actions such as turning on lights, sounding audio alarms, and issuing automated notifications — all from within Quanergy’s platform.

This enables seamless control of PTZ cameras to capture video evidence

This integration represents a significant step forward in delivering smarter, faster, and more accurate security and actionable business intelligence to our customers,” said Gerald Becker, VP Market Development & Alliances of Quanergy Solutions, Inc. “By combining the high-precision object tracking of Q-Track LiDAR with the outstanding video performance of Axis network cameras via VAPIX, we’re enabling security operators to improve situational awareness and reduce false alarms — ultimately strengthening perimeter protection and operational efficiency while reducing costs.”

Critical infrastructure sites

Enhanced Security through Combined LiDAR and Video Intelligence. The integration offers a range of security benefits for commercial, industrial, and critical infrastructure sites:

  • Synchronised Video and LiDAR Tracking: Quanergy’s Q-Track platform now directly integrates with Axis cameras to provide synchronised visual and 3D LiDAR tracking. This allows operators to monitor both the video feed and precise object locations in real time, ensuring faster response to security events.
  • Automated PTZ Control: Using VAPIX, Q-Track can trigger PTZ camera movements based on detected objects, enabling automatic tracking of intruders or vehicles in predefined zones.
  • Event-Based Triggers: The platform can initiate event-based triggers such as activating lights, alarms, or voice-down alerts when potential security breaches are detected, significantly reducing response times.
  • Reduced False Alarms: With Q-Track’s advanced perception software and Axis’ high-quality video streams, the system minimises false alarms by verifying detected objects with visual confirmation.

Automated response capabilities

The VAPIX integration expands the power of our Q-Track platform, allowing security operators to extract even more value from their existing Axis camera infrastructure,” continued Becker.

Together, we’re transforming perimeter protection by delivering real-time visibility, actionable intelligence, and automated response capabilities.” This integration is now available to all Quanergy Q-Track customers using Axis network cameras.
