Qognify is working with system integrator Racom to implement a scalable IP surveillance solution at the new terminal
NiceVision will enable the airport to effectively manage operational bottlenecks, safety hazards, and security threats

As part of a major expansion project at Oslo Airport’s Terminal 2, slated for completion in 2017, Qognify, formerly NICE Security, has been selected to help ensure operational efficiency, business continuity and passenger safety and security, Qognify announced recently.

Oslo Airport is already one of the largest airports in the Nordic region, and expects to grow its passenger volume from 24 million to 28 million in the next few years. The Qognify solution will enable the airport to effectively manage all types of incidents, including operational bottlenecks, safety hazards, and security threats.

Qognify is working with system integrator Racom to implement a scalable IP surveillance solution at the new terminal. By using NiceVision, the airport will be well-positioned to:

  • Comply with airport regulations
  • Quickly gain awareness of unfolding incidents and their severity, as well as operational issues
  • Ensure consistency of security and operations across the airport

Arne Grave, CEO, Racom, said “Our partnership with Qognify on this project has enabled us to design a solution that fully meets the needs and expectations of Oslo Airport. This includes an adaptation to modern video formats, ample storage, and a robust structure that ensures access to video in all circumstances and eventualities.”

Moti Shabtai, President of Qognify, commented “The implementation of our security solutions at one of Europe’s largest airports is a testament to our leadership in this sector. The pillars of our security portfolio, NiceVision can help major transit operations like Oslo Airport streamline all aspects of incident-handling and response throughout the entire incident lifecycle.”

Qognify is an independent company set off from NICE Systems Physical Security Business Unit following its acquisition by Battery Ventures, a global technology investment firm.
