Benefits of employee badge

Following are the benefits of employee badge in Apple wallet:

  • Touchless experience: Once users generate a mobile badge in the 167 Green Street building's app (developed by Sharry), they add it to Apple Wallet with one click and use their personal device to unlock secured areas. The whole card management process is done remotely to reduce unnecessary physical contacts and to fully meet the demands of hybrid work.
  • Seamless experience: Mobile badge in Apple Wallet uses Near Field Communication (NFC) technology between the user's device and the card reader or any NFC-enabled lock. There's no need to unlock the device or tap any app or button. Just hold it up to the card reader. Even if the iPhone runs out of battery power, the smartphone's Power Reserve provides up to five hours of access.
  • Secure experience: The employee badge in Apple Wallet also takes full advantage of the privacy and security features built into the iPhone and Apple Watch. An employee badge is stored on the user’s device, which means Apple doesn’t see the places staff or employees access, so data is private and Unlike plastic cards, users almost immediately notice when they lose their phone and can track it with Find My app. Therefore lowering any potential security risks.
