i-PRO EMEA set out to shake-up the security camera industry by building on its Panasonic reputation for quality and reliability and adding a start-up mentality focused on quickly responding to customer demands by bringing innovative and competitive new products to market.

As of October 1st, the new global independent company officially transferred from Panasonic and is now headquartered in Amsterdam, as part of the Japan-based i-PRO global company network. i-PRO EMEA will continue to build on its 60-year history of producing quality security cameras and accelerate the introduction of innovation, such as artificial intelligence.

Standalone product identity

In line with its new direction, the company will adopt the i-PRO brand as the standalone product identity from April 2022 onwards. Gerard Figols has been appointed i-PRO EMEA President to lead the organisation into this new era.

On top of transferring the existing team and their know-how from Panasonic, i-PRO EMEA is also actively recruiting to bring additional talent into the organisation to help take the company to the next level and readying it for future growth. “Today marks an exciting new chapter in the development of the security camera industry. i-PRO aims to lead the AI-ification of the security camera market by making AI the new standard, with plans to triple the number of cameras in our range over the next 6-12 months.”

Security camera market

We will use the company’s new agility to quickly respond to market requirements – delivering more high-quality products, in shorter development times, at greater value for money – providing high-quality, reliable hardware open for customisation. i-PRO EMEA looks forward to supporting our partners and their customers on this exciting journey,” announced Gerard Figols, President of i-PRO EMEA.

As part of its drive to get closer to its partners and customers, i-PRO EMEA is re-vitalising its premium partner programme which includes distributors and integrators. Wanda Nijholt, i-PRO EMEA Manager Marketing and Communications, said: “i-PRO will be working more closely with our partners than ever before, listening to their needs and quickly responding with new solutions to become the market’s trusted next-generation partner.”
