Powervault, one of the UK’s renowned electricity battery storage manufacturers, has launched the P4, their most powerful energy storage solution yet.

Due to its modular design, backup power options, and AI technology, the P4 has received positive feedback from the building industry and installers.

P4 features

Best suited for bigger homes and commercial properties, the P4 has a larger battery and inverter than the PVCompact, allowing for greater storage and power.

Customers can choose from five AC capacities: 8kWh, 12kWh, 16kWh, 20kWh, and 24kWh, all of which are compatible with solar PV and wind turbine systems and housed in a slim, all-in-one, wall-mounted design. For high-demand commercial properties, the P4 can be multiplied to form a three-phase system offering a mighty 72kWh storage capacity.

Modular system

Each modular system consists of four to twelve batteries that weigh 25kg each, making installation easier

Each modular system consists of four to twelve batteries that weigh 25kg each, making installation easier and minimising the need for multiple installers.

If needed, capacity can be gradually increased, allowing houses and businesses to expand their energy usage without having to replace the entire system.

Powervault is also one of the few manufacturers that provide post-installation customer support, which means that once the storage has been fitted successfully, Powervault becomes the customer's primary point of contact for any operational support.

SmartSTOR software

Powered by market-renowned artificial intelligence technology, SmartSTOR software is at the heart of Powervault’s battery storage solutions.

SmartSTOR optimises the device on a daily basis depending on the customer's tariff, power use, and weather predictions to ensure the most effective energy consumption.

Energy optimisation

This revolutionary technology offers customers a hassle-free way to reduce CO2 emissions and optimise energy savings by storing cheaper off-peak electricity to use during peak hours, a compelling argument for making battery storage a part of our everyday lives.

This technology is especially beneficial for users with time-of-use tariffs and electric vehicle owners. Users can also monitor charging, discharging, solar generation, and energy usage statistics anywhere with Powervault's online portal.

Battery and energy storage deployment

2023 is a pivotal year for battery and energy storage deployment in the UK"

Joe Warren, Managing Director of Powervault, said, “2023 is a pivotal year for battery and energy storage deployment in the UK. Domestic and commercial customers alike are deeply concerned about energy security and costs, and storage systems especially those co-located with renewable generation are increasingly becoming one of the most sought-after ways to tackle those concerns while making positive strides to combat climate breakdown.”

Scaling smart battery storage

Powervault recently received £3.8 million in investment to scale up the manufacturing of smart battery storage and boost green growth and jobs in Britain as renewable energy exceeded fossil fuels for electricity generation for the first time in 2022.

Another issue Powervault aims to address is the impact volatile weather is having on energy usage and the struggle for networks to keep the power flowing. With emergency power supply options to keep the lights on, P4 offers reassurance for owners at risk of power outages.

Self-generated, clean, renewable energy

Joe Warren continues, “We’re delighted to launch the PowerVault P4, our most advanced energy storage system. As we move towards net zero, the UK electricity sector is undergoing an exciting transformation. Installing a Powervault is one of the first steps many of our customers take on their journey to net zero and our customers  benefit from powering their homes with more of their self-generated, clean, renewable energy.
