Pelco by Schneider Electric, a leading provider of intelligent video surveillance and security management platforms, announced enhancements to its Sarix™ Professional camera line. The upgrades enable users to capture high-quality imagery to enhance security, safety and operational strategies.
With resolutions of 1.2MP to 5MP, the Sarix Professional range of surveillance cameras deliver high-resolution images while providing video coverage of larger areas with a single camera. Sarix advanced zoom capability allows operators to see detailed scenes for evidentiary purposes, supporting faster and more efficient investigations.
New features of the next generation Sarix Professional camera range include:
- New Form Factors: Confined spaces are best served by Sarix Professional’s new Vandal Wedge Dome and Micro Dome cameras. Either model can be used in elevator applications where customers require a small, unobtrusive camera with a fixed lens for close-up viewing.
- Improved Low-light Capabilities: The enhanced camera line provides clearer views in dim or no-light conditions. In models that include IR Illumination, the new Adaptive IR feature dynamically optimises exposure settings to capture more details. When subjects come within close proximity of the camera, the exposure compensates to prevent washout, resulting in more actionable video intelligence in areas of reduced lighting.
- More Modular Design: The optimised modular design gives increased inventory flexibility for dealers and integrators to mix-and-match components for an extensive range of applications. Both indoor and environmental domes come standard with an IK10 vandal-resistant surface mount.
- Custom Features: Sarix Professional’s power options have been expanded, and all outdoor cameras have been upgraded to be dust-tight and protected against strong jets of water and rainfall, to ensure continued operation in extreme conditions. Finally, the operating temperature has been expanded for high-temperature applications.
