OPTEX, the pioneering global sensor manufacturer, will be showcasing its broad range of its advanced intrusion detection solutions at Security Essen 2024, the pioneering trade fair for the security industry.

For high security perimeter applications, included within the OPTEX portfolio of fibre optic-based detectors are the EchoPoint™ and Fibre Defender series. The OPTEX fibre optic range uses intelligent analytics to determine whether an attempted intrusion is taking place and can be installed with a variety of options; from directly in the ground, on the fence to detect climbing or cutting, or within a wall to detect drilling.

Evolution in OPTEX’s LiDAR series

Also included within the OPTEX portfolio on stand will be its award-winning REDSCAN LiDAR range. The sensors can be mounted horizontally to create high-resolution virtual laser planes to protect roofs and skylights, or vertically helping to create virtual perimeters, protect narrow spaces and high-value targets.

The latest evolution in OPTEX’s LiDAR series, REDSCAN mini-Pro adds a new level of security intelligence by combining the precision and accuracy of LiDAR intrusion detection with an in-built Infrared camera for ultra-fast visual verification in both indoor and outdoor high-security environments.

Internal FlipX detection sensors

OPTEX’s range of internal FlipX detection sensors will also feature at the booth

OPTEX’s range of internal FlipX detection sensors will also feature at the booth. For commercial and residential sites, the indoor sensor FlipX features a pyroelectric sensor that adapts to the human shape to provide highly accurate detection performance.

Thanks to its innovative lens that can rotate through 180°, the sensors can be utilised to protect both narrow and long spaces, and wide, open areas, providing the power and intelligence of two sensors in one.

Intrusion detection technology

Johannes Faber, Regional Sales Manager for OPTEX EMEA, is excited about presenting the company’s technologies: “With this being a landmark 45th year for OPTEX, Security Essen provides the perfect platform to reinforce our company vision by demonstrating live the very best innovative intrusion detection technology."

"Also, the opportunity to present and host our portfolio of pioneering solutions to both new and existing customers is one I look particularly forward to.” Security Essen will take place from the 17th to 20th September 2024 at Messe Essen and visitors can find OPTEX’s booth at Hall 7, Stand 7F23.
