D-Link has launched its new Vigilance Full HD surveillance starter kit (DNR16-4802-2) for small businesses and consumers looking to make their first investment into video surveillance. The kit includes a 16-channel PoE Network Video Recorder (DNR-2020-04P) and two Full HD outdoor mini dome cameras (DCS-4802E). The DCS-4802E camera has the smallest footprint of all the cameras in the Vigilance range without losing any surveillance capabilities, including high definition imaging, a 3-axis gimbal and 20 metre night vision. Its diminutive size makes it suitable for being discreetly installed for either indoor or outdoor monitoring.

Easy to install and integrate

The DCS-4802E camera is designed to be easy to install and can be integrated into a highly affordable video surveillance solution. Incorporating an IR LED illuminator, WDR, and 3DNR support, the DCS-4802E provides users with up to 30 metres of night vision and clear detailed images in contrasting and low light environments. The camera’s IP-66 (weather-proof) housing is specifically designed to withstand all adverse weather conditions allowing for a quick and simple installation.

The DNR-2020-04P is an all-in-one 16 channel Power over Ethernet (PoE) network video recorder that can record video from up to 16 network cameras simultaneously to its dual HDD (Hard Disk Drive) bays, with support for up to 16 TB storage. With integrated HDMI/VGA display output and USB ports, users can view, control, and configure the DNR-2020-04P without the need to connect it up to a PC. Along with standard recording, playback, and motion detection based recording, the DNR-2020-04P also supports intelligent playback.

Provision of PoE ports

"The Vigilance Full HD starter kit offers installers high quality, reliable products, that are simple to install, capable of working in a variety of environments, and at affordable prices"

As a D-Link JustConnect product, the DNR-2020-04P recorder is simple to set up. It can be installed in minutes thanks to its embedded software, which enables easy set-up via a connected monitor, and the provision of PoE ports, which can supply power to up to four PoE cameras, making camera installation truly plug and play, saving security installers valuable time and electrical installation costs on each install.

Paul Routledge, UK and Ireland Country Manager, commented: “The video surveillance market has changed dramatically over the last few years. At D-Link, we’re dedicated to developing a product suite, which enables security installers to continue to deliver the best service possible in what is an increasingly competitive and challenging market. The Vigilance Full HD starter kit offers installers high quality, reliable products, that are simple to install, capable of working in a variety of environments, and at affordable prices.”
