Following a surge in enquiries from across the region, Ulverston-based security consultancy, Lakeland Security, has expanded its growing service to cover the entire North West. The company, which offers a range of discreet services to its discerning client base, has reported a 25% increase in enquiries compared to the same period last year, with close personal protection, CCTV monitoring, and manned guarding of particular interest to those in the Bowness-on-Windermere and Manchester areas.

Manned guarding

The business, which is owned by local entrepreneur, Andrew Brown, was started in 2014, in response to a gap in the market for a first class, high quality security service for successful local people, businesses, VIP’s and international visitors to the Lake District. Andrew, who also owns executive car service, Lakeland Chauffeurs, has always insisted that his elite drivers are trained to the highest of standards, undertaking the Defensive Drivers Training Course offered by specialists, Peter Coole Associates. With personal and property security, an increasingly growing concern in today’s world, Lakeland Security believe their services will become progressively more necessary.

Preventing crime and terrorist activities

“As we’re faced with a seemingly ever-increasing amount of crime and terror in the news, there is a general perception of the world becoming a more unsettling environment, and we’ve certainly seen evidence of this awareness with the number of enquiries we are now receiving,” said Andrew Brown. “We provide a professional, discreet and private service which is why successful local people, VIP’s and celebrity visitors to the Lake District are using us time and again. Lakeland Security has some very exciting plans for 2017 and beyond and I look forward to employing more people as we expand our operations in Cumbria and Manchester,” he explains.
