Johnson Controls, the globally renowned company in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings solutions, has introduced Tyco Kantech KT-2, adaptable two-door controllers, which is cost-effective, easy-to-install and operate, for small-to-medium sized businesses.

Tyco Kantech KT-2 door controller

This new door controller expands Johnson Controls line of multi-door control solutions, purposely designed for retailers, medical offices, warehouses and businesses, with needs ranging from one door to thousands. The KT-2 seamlessly integrates into OpenBlue, the dynamic platform for connected, safe and sustainable building solutions from Johnson Controls.

A versatile solution, the Tyco Kantech KT-2 can be used as a standalone system or integrated with the EntraPass Security Management Software, in order to leverage Wi-Fi connectivity, providing a cost-effective solution, for challenging access control installations that typically require extensive cabling.

When in Standalone Mode, the Tyco Kantech KT-2 door controller can be managed through a dedicated web browser, providing a user-friendly and feature-rich alternative for two-door security, without the need for a full security management software.

Installers of the KT-2 door controller will find deployment quick and seamless, by using an intuitive wizard-based platform that guides them through the set-up and installation process.

Compatible with EntraPass software

Designed with small-to-medium businesses in mind, the Tyco Kantech KT-2 door controller is compatible with EntraPass software (v. 8.40 or higher), which utilises the full set of features that the KT-2 controller offers. The capacitive touch-sensitive screen provides one-button programming, for plug-and-play installation.

The Tyco Kantech KT-2 door controller supports two readers, ioModules and other KT controllers, such as the KT-1 and KT-400. When paired with Kantech ioSmart readers, the Tyco Kantech KT-2 door controller provides end-to-end encryption, ensuring secure communication between access control devices. The KT-2 door controller comes with a five-year warranty.
