Johnson Controls introduces a new line of high-capacity, front-accessible hard disk drive (HDD) recorders within its exacqVision A-Series portfolio in response to the increasing demands for video storage expansion.

The use of video surveillance to detect, deter and prosecute crime has grown significantly, and increases in camera resolutions and frame rates have caused the need for video storage to surge at an unprecedented rate.

The new front accessible recorders feature eight front-accessible storage bays with up to 80TB of storage available, all in a smaller, more compact 2U chassis. The flexible configuration provides hassle-free maintenance and service, allowing users to simply shut down the system and add hard drives from the front of the chassis for a future-focused surveillance operation. The new models of the exacqVision A-Series recorders are configurable with optional Quad NICs and RAID 5

Reliability assurance

Consistent with the full suite of exacqVision A-Series hybrid and IP recorders, the servers come with 4 IP camera licenses, support up to 64 IP and 32 analog cameras, and include a three-year warranty and three-year SSA for all cameras on the system.

Available with either Windows 10 or Ubuntu 16.04 operating systems, the new models of the exacqVision A-Series recorders are configurable with optional Quad NICs and RAID 5, making them ideal for enterprise environments needing expansion and reliability assurance.
