Iris ID, a provider of iris recognition technology, announced its IrisAccess iCAM 7S series enrollment and system management process is now fully integrated with the latest version of the Honeywell Pro-Watch security management suite. The integration makes it more convenient for Pro-Watch users to employ the added benefits of biometric identity authentication.

Pro-Watch 4.4 is the latest version of Honeywell’s popular solution for enterprise and critical infrastructure customers. The Pro-Watch software is a connected building platform to help enterprises meet the most stringent compliance requirements while reaching total cost of ownership by increasing operator productivity with superior flexibility and scalability. With native integration of the iCAM enrollment process, users can now quickly enroll employees for another layer of authentication at key points of entry.

Non-contact cameras and readers

Iris ID’s iCAM 7S series offers the highest level of speed and accuracy among available biometric technologies. The iCAM cameras use visual indicators and audio prompts to align employees during the enrollment process. Both irises are acquired, and a face picture can be captured for use on an ID badge. Enrollment takes seconds to complete. The system is clean with its non-contact cameras and readers.

We’ve thoroughly tested the iCAM 7 Series to ensure the system is well integrated with Pro-Watch"

The Iris ID iCAM 7S series offers our Pro-Watch customers an accurate and easy-to-use solution to help protect the most sensitive areas of any organisation,” said Marcus Logan, global offering leader, commercial security at Honeywell Building Technologies. “We’ve thoroughly tested the iCAM 7 Series to ensure the system is well integrated with Pro-Watch. The Iris ID product is now part of our price book, making it easy for our integrators and dealers to order.”

Iris recognition enrollment

Mohammed Murad, vice president global sales and business development, Iris ID, called the integration of Pro-Watch with the iCAM solution a natural fit between two security systems.

While we’ve seen the IrisAccess system used in conjunction with Pro-Watch for a very long time we are excited that the iris recognition enrollment and management process is now natively integrated into the Pro-Watch client application,” he said. “The iCAM 7S series is ideal for the international scope of Honeywell’s ProWatch suite and its roster of blue-chip users looking to add a layer of non-contact and convenient biometric security.”
