Interlogix announced that its UltraSync SmartHome app and new flood/freeze sensor are winners of 2016 Electronic Security Expo (ESX) Innovation Awards. Interlogix is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corporation.

Security with convenience

The UltraSync app, for iOS and Android, was the winner in the Residential App for Security/Life Style/Life Safety Systems category. This recently upgraded app allows homeowners to easily, conveniently and remotely control Z-Wave®-enabled devices like lights, thermostats, locks and other appliances using their smart phone or tablet. Users can receive push notifications for specific events such as alarms, or system arming and disarming. The system also supports TruVision® IP cameras, providing the ability to remotely view live video and replay captured alarm or action-triggered video.

The Interlogix flood/freeze sensor, winner in the Notification Appliances — Motion, Contacts, Environmental category, is fully compatible with Interlogix panels and receivers, and protects homes and businesses by detecting as little as 1/64 of an inch of water and triggering a temperature alarm at 41° degrees Fahrenheit.

“These awards validate our efforts to offer the next-generation of smart home systems, sensors and accessories homeowners want to help protect their families, and take control of their modern, active lifestyles,” said Shin Voeks, general manager, intrusion and monitoring, Interlogix, Americas.

Since its introduction in early 2015, the UltraSync SmartHome system and its UltraSync self-contained hub (formerly known as ZeroWire™), have won top awards at major security trade shows such as ISC West and ESX.

The UltraSync SmartHome system, app and flood/freeze sensor will be showcased at the 2016 ESX Expo in the Interlogix booth #521. Both products are available in the U.S. and Canada from Interlogix dealers and strategic distributors.
