A new distribution partnership between ievo, the Newcastle-based manufacturer of biometric recognition systems, and Dublin’s Northwood Technology looks set to open up the potentially lucrative Irish market.

Founded in 2003, Northwood Technology are now one of Ireland’s leading distributors of security products, specialising in the design and installation of bespoke security systems for their customers, advising and providing the most innovative technology within the industry.

Biometric fingerprint readers

Distributing leading brands of CCTV, access control, IP systems, fire alarm and video analytics systems has enabled Northwood Technology to build up a client base ranging from independent installers to government bodies and commercial entities throughout the country. They were the first ISO 9001 accredited security distribution company in Ireland, an indication of the importance they place on top quality customer support and service.

The distribution partnership allows ievo to benefit from Northwood’s targeted approach and strong reputation within the Irish security sector, whilst ievo’s Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) approved biometric fingerprint readers are setting global standards for secure identification systems. In turn, the partnership provides Irish customers access to industry leading biometric products.

Time and attendance solutions

“We are now able to provide the most effective biometric solution on the market to our customers”

Paul Hennessey, Managing Director of Northwood Technology, commented, “As a company, we aim to provide top class service with industry leading products. We were impressed at ievo’s ability to partner with a wide range of access control and time & attendance platforms while its modular system also means that biometric solutions can be integrated with traditional security systems efficiently, saving both the end user and installer time and money. We are now able to provide the most effective biometric solution on the market to our customers.”

Shaun Oakes, Managing Director of ievo Ltd, added, “We are delighted to have found a distribution partner with Northwood Technology. The importance they place on customer service is something that as a manufacturer we are similarly dedicated to, whilst their diverse and extensive customer base provides a substantial and growing market for our systems and we’re looking forward to working alongside them for many years to come.”
