End-users and systems integrators can take advantage of Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity in the award-winning Niō Guardian and Protector automated deterrence 4K HD camera solution by iDter.

iDter’s Nio Guardian and Protector solution meet the latest PoE standards, including IEEE 802.3bt (PoE++) and IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) with the 90-watt injector.

PoE

PoE is a method for delivering power to devices over the same cabling network infrastructure used for data. With PoE, a single cable powers the iDter system, eliminating the need to run separate cables, and yielding significant labour and infrastructure cost savings.

iDter offers two versions of the Niō Guardian; Niō-PoE and Niō-AC.  Niō AC accepts 120/240/277 VAC input for applications on commercial lighting poles or replacing building flood lights.

Active deterrence

We’re excited to include PoE connectivity, making it easier to deploy iDter for intelligent active deterrence"

This recent innovation extends the possibility for applications and specifications, especially to areas where installing additional infrastructure is impractical or impossible.

We’re excited to include PoE connectivity, making it easier to deploy iDter for intelligent and immediate active deterrence of crime. With Niō-PoE, the limits of protecting the perimeter proactively have disappeared,” said Greg Ayres, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.

AI deep learning and IR night vision

iDter’s Niō Guardian and Protector technology feature artificial intelligence (AI) deep learning and infrared night vision to detect in real-time and is proven to foil 98% of intrusions, within seconds and without delays or costs from human intervention.

Building owners and property managers, heavy and construction equipment distributors, automobile dealerships/fleets, and commercial properties with open-air assets can put an end to unwanted intrusions, loitering, and theft.

Simple installation and IP-65 rating

The iDter system is simple to install and configure and includes everything you need to get up and running quickly.

It leverages the latest cloud and edge video storage capabilities as well as video verified monitoring with dispatch to PSAP for active, 24/7 detection. iDter products are fully NDAA compliant, ETL listed, FCC certified, and carry an IP-65 environmental rating.

How iDter works

Niō nodes are positioned around the protected premises to detect intrusion with a powerful high-resolution camera

Niō nodes are positioned around the protected premises to detect intrusion with a powerful high-resolution camera with a wide-angle lens, multiple motion detectors, an omnidirectional microphone, and quad-core intelligence.

Niō nodes also deter with a rich set of immediate responses: the instantaneous illumination of 10,000 lumens of multi-directional LED floodlights, blinding strobes of red and blue LEDs, piercing sirens, situation-appropriate voice-down warning messages, and intimidating sound effects.

Real-time monitoring and intrusion detection

Intrusion events are detected and immediately verified with video alert recordings sent to the user’s iPhone, Android phone, or iPad.

Events are monitored in real-time to ensure deterrence actions were successful, and if not, a video-verified alarm is sent to a UL Listed, Five-Diamond Certified central station for dispatch of authorities through 911 operators.
