Hikvision, a manufacturer and supplier of security products and solutions that deliver the ideal combination of high performance and extreme value, introduces new M-Series 8K Network Video Recorders (NVRs), representing a comprehensive product upgrade to deliver high resolutions with sharp imaging in expansive areas.

These M-Series NVRs can access, store, transfer, decode, and output true 8K video or dual-4K output for maximum image detail using the most advanced security camera systems, or decode a variety of channel configurations up to 32 channels at 1080p for extreme versatility.

Outstanding user experience

Our new M-Series 8K NVRs are designed to support the most demanding applications with an outstanding user experience, empowering security professionals to get the most value from their highest-performing video cameras,” said John Xiao, Vice President of Marketing, Hikvision USA, adding “Today’s security cameras are continually improving, with increasing resolutions and numbers of lenses. At Hikvision, we are dedicated to helping users make the most of these capabilities to improve safety, security, and system performance.”

Total incoming and outgoing bandwidth is up to 400 Mbps for 64-channel NVRs

Hikvision’s M-Series NVRs are equipped with two HDMI 2.1 interfaces, and support two channels at 32 MP decoding and 8K resolution or dual-4K output. Decoding capacity can be configured from 2-channels at 8K (7680 x 4320), to 8-channels at 8 MP, 16-channels at 4 MP, or 32-channels at 1080p. Total incoming and outgoing bandwidth is up to 400 Mbps for 64-channel NVRs, and each HDD supports up to 14 TB.

Embedded file system

With these new M-Series NVRs, Hikvision is extending its ‘True 8K’ solutions from the front end to backend devices, offering customers an extremely clear and detailed visual experience in all kinds of scenarios.

These capabilities are ideal for use in combination with fisheye cameras, panoramic cameras, and high-resolution cameras in larger indoor and outdoor spaces including business parks, stadiums, transportation hubs, and other applications where wider angles of view and sharper, more detailed images are required.

To help ensure high-level system stability and data safety, these new M-series NVRs are equipped with features such as an embedded file system that helps to increase productivity for data management tasks and a 1+1 redundant power supply to provide load balancing and increased service life.
