HID Global, a global provider of trusted identity solutions, will showcase its cloud-based solutions that are changing the world of campus ‘One Card’ offices at this week’s National Association of Campus Card Users (NACCU) 2018 conference in Reno, Nevada.

The company is demonstrating its award-winning HID FARGO Connect card issuance solution, which now integrates with both on premise and software-as-a-service (SaaS) card management systems from CBORD and can be used with a broader range of HID FARGO card printers.

Integration with CBORD One Card office system model

We continue to enhance the HID FARGO Connect experience, extending platform integrations with a growing range of card and access management systems while also expanding the offering of card printers it supports,” said Robin Tandon, Director Product Marketing, Cloud Solutions with HID Global.Printers are transformed into trusted, intelligent edge devices in the Internet of Things (IoT) through the use of digital certificates from HID Global’s IdenTrust unit

Demand is accelerating for our cloud-based environment that enables cards to be conveniently designed and issued from any location using any device, and now gives users more printer options and integrates with virtually any CBORD One Card office system model whether locally hosted or using a software-as-a-service model.

New printer options supported by HID FARGO Connect include the FARGO HDP5600 ID card printer and encoder, FARGO DTC5500LMX ID card printer and laminator, and FARGO DTC1500 card/printer model.

These are transformed into trusted, intelligent edge devices in the Internet of Things (IoT) through the use of digital certificates from HID Global’s IdenTrust unit, the world’s #1 digital certification authority.

Secure transmission of data

HID FARGO Connect also now extends integration options beyond the HID SAFE physical identity and access management software and CBORD’s CS Gold on-premise software to include the CBORD Odyssey Direct cloud-based SaaS solution.

HID has worked with distribution partner ColorID to complete the first major university deployment at Kent State University using CBORD CS Gold software, and additional customer and partner roll-outs are underway. The subscription-based HID FARGO Connect service has been recognised with numerous industry awards

HID FARGO Connect combines all aspects of the issuance process and cloud-based services into a solution that removes the need to manage ID personalisation/issuance through a local computer. The solution eliminates PC and software updates that can disrupt issuance and gives administrators full visibility and control over the process.

All data is securely transmitted using end-to-end encryption that meets banking-level protocols. The subscription-based HID FARGO Connect service has been recognised with numerous industry awards.
