Genetec, a technology provider of unified security, public safety, operations, and business intelligence solutions, will join four world-class technology partners at Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) this week, from the 14th-16th November, to showcase its latest community safety initiatives and security software solutions used in today’s modern city environments to help ‘Protect the Everyday’.

Committed to increasing public safety and collaboration inside cities and communities, Genetec will have visibility with its four partners Microsoft, Axis Communications, Schréder and The City of New York:

Microsoft pavilion (C301)—Genetec will join Microsoft to demonstrate Citigraf™, its new decision support system that unifies public safety operations across city departments. Genetec will also share information about its new Community Connect initiative—using Microsoft Azure cloud to provide public-private video surveillance as a service (VSaaS) which connects directly to local law enforcement departments.

Axis Communications (B200)—The Genetec unified, open-architecture platform, Security Center, works in collaboration with Axis Communications’ innovative sensor and camera technology for citywide incident management, CCTV security solutions, traffic flow, and mobility.

Schréder (F646)—Genetec will join Schréder to demonstrate how public spaces can be safer with smarter lighting and unified security solutions for better citywide surveillance and video analytics.

New York City Pavilion (D451)—Genetec will join the City of New York to demonstrate how a collaborative, unified citywide security program has successfully improved urban safety.

Community Connect™ is a new
initiative designed to help build
ties between a city’s public and
private sectors and encourages
community-driven solutions

Genetec Community Connect

Community Connect™ is a new initiative designed to help build ties between a city’s public and private sectors and encourages community-driven solutions to enhance public safety and livability. Built on Genetec Stratocast™ video surveillance as a service (VSaaS), Community Connect can offer greater security through high definition (HD) video surveillance. Business owners can view live and recorded video from their laptop, tablet, or smartphone 24/7. Community Connect subscribers can selectively share camera feeds with law enforcement, allowing officers to monitor video during an incident to expedite response and investigation.

Genetec Citigraf

Genetec Citigraf™ is a public safety decision support system which combines the data and information of disparate sensing systems to generate a clearer, unified image for better situational awareness. With a common operating picture, citywide law enforcement and public safety agencies can quickly evaluate an event with all relevant supportive intelligence, to facilitate a fast response time; from detection to on-scene response. Citigraf helps law enforcement and security organisations benefit from better planning, detection, response and prevention of incidents.

Genetec Clearance

Genetec Clearance™ is a digital evidence management system that can help speed up investigations by allowing law enforcement and security agencies to securely collect, manage, and share evidence from different sources—including body worn cameras, CCTV, and sound recording devices.

Genetec AutoVu

Genetec AutoVu™ is an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system that automates reading and identification, making it easier for law enforcement, municipal, and commercial organisations such as the City of Jackson, Mississippi and Belgium Police, to locate vehicles of interest and enforce parking restrictions. With specialised AutoVu ALPR cameras mounted on law enforcement vehicles, officers are automatically alerted to any hits from chosen regional or national hotlists, including: stolen vehicles or license plates, wanted felons or amber alert suspects.
