Genetec Inc., a provider of open architecture security and public safety solutions, announced its plans for IFSEC International 2017. The company will demonstrate and preview its latest innovative technologies that help both integrators and end-users protect, improve, and implement security solutions within their environments. IFSEC 2017 will take place at ExCeL London from 20th – 22nd June. Genetec will be exhibiting at Stand F500.

Security Center 5.6 IP security platform

Genetec will demonstrate Security Center 5.6, the latest version of its unified, open architecture IP security platform. The company will also feature Genetec Retail Sense, an analytics application designed for retail marketing and operations, and Genetec Clearance, a collaborative case management solution for law enforcement and security professionals. A vast selection of supported video, access control, and storage hardware and software systems from the Genetec ecosystem of partners will also be showcased.

Genetec plans to offer a preview of its upcoming Synergis Access Control as a Service (ACaaS), designed to minimise end-user reliance on corporate IT, and eliminate the need for on-premises servers and other costly IT kit. Connected to Microsoft Azure, Genetec Synergis ACaaS will offer speedy deployment times, extensive scalability, and maximum security for customer data.

Border control

Genetec will also sponsor a new, speaking series called Borders & Infrastructure Theatre, created to address the specific needs and requirements for managing large-scale multi-stakeholder security issues, including: border control, critical national infrastructure, law enforcement and transport security.

“Over the past twenty years Genetec has built on its leadership in Video Management Systems to become a trusted technology partner offering a multifaceted portfolio that is used by many of the world’s largest businesses, governments, and organisations,” said Andrew Elvish, Vice President of Marketing at Genetec. “Visitors to our stand at IFSEC this year will see that despite the extraordinary technology on display, Genetec’s focus remains squarely on protecting the everyday.”

Genetec Retail Sense taps into existing security infrastructure investments to deliver powerful business insights

Cyber security

This latest version stays consistent with the Genetec commitment to cyber security and advanced ‘hardening’ measures and standards that address the constantly changing nature of security threats. With advanced authentication, authorisation and encryption standards in Security Center 5.6, Genetec remains dedicated to protecting organisations, security systems, their people, data, and assets.

Also featured in Security Center 5.6 is a new HTML5 web client with enhanced mapping interface, new access control and video device integrations, and the ability to use number plates as access control credentials with the new AutoVu SharpV camera.

Genetec Clearance case management system

Built on its open-architecture, Genetec will demonstrate its latest applications dedicated to offering value-add intelligence and collaboration benefits for new and existing business verticals. Genetec Retail Sense taps into existing security infrastructure investments to deliver powerful business insights and help retail marketing, operations and merchandising teams understand in-store shopper behaviour.

Genetec Clearance is a collaborative case management system designed to speed up investigations by enabling organisations to collect, manage, and share any kind of multimedia evidence amongst a diverse group of stakeholders. Genetec Clearance helps law enforcement officers, investigators, and security managers gather digital evidence from a variety of sources (such as Genetec Security Center and other video management systems, body-worn cameras, in-car video systems, and smartphone footage from bystanders and witnesses), and easily store, manage, review, and share it from within a single application.
