New enhancements provide System Galaxy users with ability to initiate lockdown in emergency situation

Galaxy Control Systems, a leading provider of integrated access control, video and security solutions recently completed a successful exhibition at Intersec 2016, during which the company introduced a number of significant software enhancements and a new distribution partnership.

Intersec attendees had the opportunity to see demonstrations of new software enhancements that provide System Galaxy users with greater control and situational awareness, including the ability to quickly initiate a lockdown in an emergency situation. Galaxy also announced a new EMEA distribution partnership with Anixter at the show, which strengthens the company’s support and reach within the region.

“For years, we have successfully served businesses in the Gulf region, and Intersec 2016 was a tremendous opportunity for us to build upon our presence by demonstrating our commitment to delivering improved offerings to benefit customers in this important region,” said Robert Laughlin, President, Galaxy Control Systems. “The new innovative product enhancements demonstrated at the show were very well-received by attendees, and our new partnership with Anixter will help strengthen our capabilities of serving our existing customers as well as reaching new customers.”

New Crisis Mode feature for System Galaxy

One of the new features of the enhanced System Galaxy demonstrated at Intersec 2016 is the Crisis Mode feature, which allows users to upgrade or downgrade individual access levels and lockdown either specific doors or an entire facility in a panic or crisis situation. Other enhancements include the new Command Card feature which allows the user to issue access cards that are designated for specific functions with restricted user-established rules. Galaxy also introduced new mobile apps that enhance the abilities of facility managers to maintain control and situational awareness while moving about the facility and when off-site.
