Dortronics demonstrates 4000 Series mantraps, WR5276 switches, 1107xEDR maglock and 5278 touchless switches

Dortronics Systems is highlighting a variety of products ideally suited for cleanroom installations this week at ISC West (Booth # 1037). A number of these solutions have recently gained significant traction in pharmaceutical laboratory and other sensitive manufacturing applications where maintaining sterile, secure environments is critical.

“Dortronics has completed hundreds of cleanroom installations using our mantrap, touchless switches and other solutions, and we continue to see an increased demand for our products that are designed for these applications,” said Bryan Sanderford, National Sales Manager, Dortronics Systems Inc. “For example, our already robust mantrap business doubled as a direct result of the demand for cleanroom solutions.”

Among the many Dortronics solutions that are well-suited for cleanroom applications are:

Dortronics’ 4000 Series mantraps offer customisation to maintain sterile operating conditions in sensitive areas by precisely controlling when and how interlocked doors leading to cleanrooms operate. This ensures that only personnel who are knowledgeable about cleanroom procedures are allowed access to these sensitive areas.

The 1107xEDR delayed egress actuating maglock operates with Dortronics’ 7101-P delayed egress panel and is designed with a field-adjustable actuator that senses door movement. A concealed door position switch reports door status for re-lock and forced door conditions to the egress panel. The 1107xEDR can be easily field-converted for inswing applications with the addition of the 1195-07 In-swing conversion kit.

WR5276 heavy duty push button switches offer IP65 rating to protect against water projected from any direction, allowing them to withstand cleanroom applications with high levels of moisture.

5278 Touchless “Wave” switches utilise optical infrared technology to allow hands-free entry and exit of cleanrooms. The embedded sensor picks up a simple wave of the hand to activate the switch. No need to touch the switch; however, if inadvertently touched the sensor will pick up the motion before actual contact, resulting in normal operation.
