The new Ultion cylinder is one of the most secure cylinders available on the market
Door-Stop offers Ultion cylinder, the Avocet ABC cylinder and the Yale Superior and UAP Zero lift cylinders

UK’s composite door manufacturer, Door-Stop, has introduced a selection of cylinders to its range, including the new Ultion cylinder, which is one of the most secure cylinders available on the market.

The range of cylinders, which can be found on the company’s door configurator, consist of the Ultion cylinder, the Avocet ABC cylinder and the Yale Superior and UAP Zero lift cylinders.

Ultion cylinder - Sold Secure Diamond accredited lock

The Ultion cylinder is a Sold Secure Diamond accredited lock that meets the highest TS007 standard (3 star), without needing to be bolstered with support of cylinder protectors or extra secure door handles. What’s more, the moment it detects forced entry, it activates an attack lock directly into the central cam called ‘lockdown mode’.

Avocet ABC cylinder

Door-Stop’s Avocet ABC cylinder is similar to the Ultion cylinder as it detects when the lock has been snapped, drilled, or hammered and boasts being ‘break secure’ by keeping the central cam in place if the cylinder is snapped – securing the door from the outside.

Yale Superior and UAP Zero lift cylinders

Along with the four cylinders, Door-Stop offers eight different locking mechanisms

Also available on Door-Stop’s configurator is the Yale Superior and UAP Zero lift cylinders. Yale’s Superior cylinder has been subjected to extensive tests and is anti-bump, drill, pick, tamper, torque and force resistant. The UAP Zero lift cylinder offers some resistance to common attack methods and has been designed to be used in conjunction with two star security door hardware.

Door-Stop's range of locking mechanisms

XXX at Door-Stop said: “We can now offer our customers a choice of cylinders to pick from – it is something that we have been keen to do for a while. The Ultion cylinder is one of the few completely secure cylinders on the market, which will allow our customers to make homeowners feel safe and secure in their own homes.

“This is yet another way in which Door-Stop offers the widest choice available to customers, with an easy ordering system that takes users through the entire configuration process, step by step.  This not only opens up a world of choice; but also ensures that every door is correctly specified.”

Along with the four cylinders, Door-Stop offers eight locking mechanisms which include the Yale Lockmaster, ERA Vectis, Winkhaus Trulock and AV2 "Slam Lock", the Yale YS170, the Fab n Fix Haven, and the Avocet Affinity lock. Also available is the GU Slam Lock on all FD30s fire doors and any door supplied with hardware from our extensive Contemporary Range.
