Revenue growth was driven by a strong performance from Digital Barrier's Solutions division, which grew organically by 53%
Public Safety solutions in strong demand amidst heightened terror threat

UK-based security firm Digital Barriers has announced an exponential 113% increase in its international revenues which have doubled to £15.1m from £7.1m in 2015, accounting for 83% of its total revenues. Revenue growth was driven by a strong performance from Digital Barrier's Solutions division, which grew organically by 53%.

State-of-the-art counter terror technology security solutions

The results come as the business, which offers a range of state-of-the-art counter terror technology security solutions, has angled itself towards the American market following the acquisition of US security firm Brimtek who have deals in place with a number of US law enforcement agencies.

With the majority of sales generated within the security and defense industry it is likely in the current air of uncertainty there will be a far greater appetite and need for security. Border controls, the change in sharing of information will need a layered approach to security.

Commenting on the results Zak Doffman, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Barriers, said: “Our strong international growth shows the potential for us to sell solutions differentiated by our world-class IP into an extremely large global market."

2016 Technology Innovation Award

Furthermore, Frost & Sullivan last night granted Digital Barriers a 2016 Technology Innovation Award for its ThruVis camera which is mobile, can be deployed covertly and detects concealed firearms, suicide bomb vests, illegal powders and liquids at a range of up to 15 metres. The Frost & Sullivan Best Practices Awards recognise companies that have created advanced technologies that will transform industries in the near future.

Zak added: "This accolade is a testament to our pioneering technology, clearly a strong contribution to revenue growth. Equally, we are pleased to have delivered on our promise to secure significant channels to market, with deals announced with Axis and Mobily and the launch of a wireless safe city camera with Canon."
