DeterTech, the award-winning provider of intelligence-led security solutions, is pleased to announce the respective appointments of Franz Scherer and Luke Staton as Managing Director, Europe and Managing Director, UK.

Reporting directly to CEO Baba Devani, the two will work closely to further integrate DeterTech’s end-to-end solutions and service offering, and to evolve the business in line with the company’s strategic growth objectives.

Multilingual international management

With a wide portfolio of services and solutions to predict, deter and detect crime, DeterTech works with hundreds of clients spanning critical infrastructure, construction, retail, leisure and hospitality, transportation, and industry. It helps clients to better understand their risks and offers a bespoke package of measures to cost-effectively manage them. 

Franz joins DeterTech from Aggreko where he headed a pan-European business development group

Franz joins DeterTech from Aggreko where he headed a pan-European business development group and led the business across multiple sites in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. He is a multilingual international management and sales professional with a proven track record of delivery. Franz succeeds Martin Berends who will depart at the end of the financial year as part of a planned transition following the acquisition of BetaGuard back in 2021.

Temporary security solutions

Luke takes up the newly created role of Managing Director, UK, where he is tasked with further growing and evolving DeterTech’s UK business across all areas of its Predict, Deter and Detect proposition. He arrives with vast experience of the security sector, most recently as MD for the UK at the VPS Group, a leading provider of temporary security solutions in Europe that specialises in void or vacant property.
