The major Somme International Air Show is back, at Albert airport, with many foreign military forces in attendance. Although the event opens to the public from 10 am, the festivities really start to kick off at 1 pm.

While waiting for the displays to begin, visitors can enjoy simulators and other entertainment (such as various publicised exhibitions) offered by the organising committee, in addition to catering services. In total, 120 aircraft, both vintage and modern, have been announced: Rafale, Fokker, F-16, etc.

Foreign air forces

For the event, a particular focus is being placed on foreign air forces. The line-up, announced by the air show, 'for information only and subject to change' includes the Danish, Belgian, and Jordanian Air Forces, with the Royal Jordanian Falcons on tour this summer. And, of course, the French Air Force will be in attendance, along with Dassault aircraft.

Lastly, as is tradition, the Patrouille de France will close the event, with its Alpha Jets dazzling the Somme sky. Please note, only 1,000 tickets are available.
